Weather on the north coast, and what to bring
The sea here sets the terms, and bright sun, a passing squall and flat grey calm can all turn up between Belfast and the Causeway on the same day, so a waterproof and a warm layer are better company than a forecast written the night before. The wind out on the headlands is the part visitors underestimate.
Footwear is worth a thought as well. The basalt columns are uneven and turn slippery when wet, and the stones themselves sit below the visitor centre, downhill on the way out and uphill coming back.
