Discover Belfast on a private city tour that brings together its history, culture, and modern identity, all explored at a relaxed pace with your own driver guide.
This flexible, full-day tour is crafted around your interests. Belfast’s compact size and rich history make it unique. With a local guide, you’ll gain insight into how the city’s complex past has shaped its vibrant present.
Your experience blends well-known sites with areas that reveal deeper layers of Belfast’s story. Discover the Titanic Quarter’s shipbuilding roots and explore neighbourhoods marked by the Troubles, each destination adding new context and perspective.
Along the journey, visit sites like Titanic Belfast, Stormont Parliament Buildings, and Belfast City Hall. Enjoy historic venues such as the Crown Liquor Saloon. There is also time to explore Falls Road and Shankill Road, where recent history is thoughtfully explained.
The tour is informative but never overwhelming, with time to pause and fully absorb each location. You can request extra stops, museums, universities, local food, or city views, all tailored to your interests.
This private Belfast tour is a balanced introduction to the city, combining past and present in a way that feels engaging, accessible, and enjoyable. It sits alongside the rest of our private tours of Ireland, north and south of the border.
The Titanic Quarter
Titanic belongs to Belfast because she was built here, at the Harland and Wolff yard on Queen’s Island, and the Titanic Belfast building stands beside the slipways where she and her sister ship Olympic took shape. The slipways are open ground beside it now, and pacing their length explains the scale of the thing rather better than any photograph manages.
The murals, and the walls behind them
What surprises most first-time visitors is how close the Falls Road and the Shankill Road are to one another, and that the peace walls between them are still standing with gates set into them. The murals change as well. They are painted over and replaced as the arguments move on, so the wall you photograph will not be quite the wall somebody photographed a few years ago.
