How you see the stones on this day
This day uses standard visitor access, which means you follow the marked path that loops around the outside of the circle while the site is open to the public, with the stones a short distance away and the whole of Salisbury Plain stretching out behind them. It is how almost everyone sees Stonehenge, it works whatever the weather is doing, and it leaves the morning free to give Bath the time it deserves. What it does not do is put you among the stones themselves.
