Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the Croatian sailing week start and finish?

It starts on Brac on the Sunday morning and finishes in Split on the Friday evening, when you step off the boat. Between those two points the route runs through the Paklinski islands, Hvar, Maslinica and Trogir, so the week ends in a city with a Roman palace at its heart rather than in a quiet bay.

Which islands and towns does the week take in?

The page proposes Brac, the Paklinski islands, Hvar, Maslinica, Trogir and Split. The actual route depends on the vessel, weather, berths and the skipper’s decisions, so your booking confirmation must state the planned embarkation, disembarkation and any included stops.

How much time is there for swimming?

Swimming opportunities depend on the weather, anchorage, sea conditions and the skipper’s safety decision. The written itinerary should describe the planned swimming stops, but no particular stop or duration should be treated as guaranteed.

What is there to see in Hvar?

A vibrant harbour to begin with, then medieval streets and bustling markets behind it. Inland lie the lavender fields Hvar is known for, and above the town a hilltop fortress with sweeping views across the islands. It is the liveliest stop of the week, which is part of why it sits in the middle of it.

What happens on the last day in Split?

Diocletian’s Palace, the ancient core the city grew around, then the waterfront promenade and the street markets. It is a day of city rather than sea, and you leave the boat that evening, so Split also makes a sensible place to stay on for a night or two if your flight home allows it.

Where do we sleep during the week?

The current plan is for up to six guests to sleep aboard from Sunday until Friday in three double cabins. Meals, beer and wine are included in the present offer, with food preferences and allergies agreed before departure. The vessel can change, so the booking confirmation must name the boat, cabin allocation, facilities, exclusivity and final inclusions.
