Greek Sailing Trip

— Summary

Set sail for a memorable week exploring the Ionian islands from Lefkada as your Captain and guide.

This trip helps you unwind. Forget schedules and crowds, just enjoy the sun, open water, and new views daily. I handle the sailing so you can relax and savour every moment.

This isn’t a typical package holiday. It’s a private sailing trip for you. One day, you might wake in a secluded bay with clear water; the next, you could explore a relaxed harbour town or lunch at a seaside taverna. Each stop, from Lefkada’s cliffs to Meganisi’s calm waters, lets you experience the Ionian at your own pace.

Some days are for swimming and relaxing; others, for exploring. Jump into clear water, enjoy sunny hours on deck, or go ashore for a peaceful harbour evening. There’s no schedule—just time to enjoy each moment your way.

If you want something more personal than a typical Greek holiday, this is it: Spend a week on the water, wake up to a new backdrop each day, and let yourself experience the islands in a way most visitors never do. Reserve your adventure now.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the Greek sailing week begin and end?

It begins on Lefkada on the Sunday morning and ends on the Friday evening, when you leave the boat. The days in between run south to Vathy, back to Geni on Lefkada’s sheltered east coast, on to Sivota, out to Abelike Bay and finally to Varko Beach, which is where the last swim of the week happens.

Which harbours and bays does the week visit?

Lefkada first, then Vathy in its sheltered bay, the quiet village of Geni, the sailors’ favourite Sivota, a day at anchor in Abelike Bay and a final morning at Varko Beach. The route stays among the sheltered water of the Ionian, which is a good part of why the week feels unhurried rather than a delivery trip.

Is there much swimming on the Greek week?

Most days, and one day given over to it entirely. Thursday is spent at anchor in Abelike Bay, swimming, snorkelling or lying on deck. Vathy, Geni and Sivota all have clear bays to swim in, and the week finishes with a last swim in the blue water off Varko Beach before you leave the boat.

What is there to do ashore in the evenings?

Harbour towns, mostly, and each has its own character. Vathy has a waterfront to stroll and seaside tavernas, Sivota is where you dine by the harbour at sunset, and Geni is quiet enough that the evening is spent under the stars rather than in a restaurant. Nothing is scheduled, so going ashore is always your choice.

What is Abelike Bay?

A secluded anchorage known for its turquoise water, and one reachable mainly by boat, which is why it gets a whole day. There is little to do there beyond swimming, snorkelling and relaxing on deck, and that is entirely the point of placing it on the Thursday, after four days of harbours and villages.

Is Lefkada easy to reach?

Easier than most Greek islands, because it is joined to the mainland by a floating bridge rather than served only by ferries. The first morning is spent settling onto the yacht and having a look round the marina before the week begins in earnest. Our sailing tours page covers both of our weeks.
