Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get in touch about a tour?

Use the contact form or email, or ring between 7am and 10pm UK time. Customers with a confirmed booking receive a separate number that is monitored outside those hours for issues affecting that booking; it is not a general out-of-hours enquiry line.

What should we include in a first enquiry?

Your dates, where you are staying and the places you already know you want to see. A rough list is plenty. Something like “Stonehenge, something to do with Jane Austen, and please nothing that starts at six in the morning” is a perfectly workable brief, and we will fill in the rest. Do mention how many of you are travelling.

Can we book a call to talk it through?

Use the meeting link on this page to see the appointment times currently offered. The booking confirmation will show the length and any terms that apply to the call.

Can we arrange a call from a different time zone?

Yes. Send your time zone or use the meeting link to find a suitable appointment between 7am and 10pm UK time.

What happens after we send an enquiry?

We come back to you with questions if we have any, then build a route with timings and a price. If you would like to talk it through first, we can do that before anything is written down. You will see the whole plan and what it costs before you commit, and nothing is confirmed until you are happy with it.

Is there any cost or obligation in asking?

Sending an enquiry does not by itself confirm a tour. Any price, deposit, cancellation term or other commitment should be set out in the written proposal before you book.

Can you help if our travel dates are not settled yet?

Yes. Quite a lot of trips start as a rough month and a list of places, and the conversation itself often helps settle the dates. Tell us roughly when you are thinking of travelling and what you would like to see, and we will tell you plainly what works well at that time of year and what does not.

Can travel agents and advisors enquire here too?

Yes, though there is a page written specifically for the trade. If you are planning on behalf of a client, our travel agents page covers how we work with advisors and what we need from you to put an itinerary together. You are welcome to use this form either way.
